We will shortly get from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) the registration data for January 2023. HRUX will cover this in our usual way.
Just a prediction though – as a percentage of the total, EVs will be down significantly on December. And no one will talk about it. Every year we see the same pattern – a record in December, and lots of headlines, and a corresponding fall in January.
Overall EV registrations are consistently up year on year, but there are a number of factors that mean Decembers are always special…
