There’s a quiet revolution going on at one of our longest standing clients, Travis Perkins.

Last March they went live with our award-nominated esparx HR comms system, and with each passing week they are automating and improving more of their processes and messaging to employees. \esparx is like a digital assistant for HR teams – working in the background to identify HR tasks and automatically sending out short, personalised and actionable messages (‘sparx’) to colleagues and their line managers.

Our first sparx was responsible for a 300% increase in responses overnight – and Travis were hooked. There are 26 active sparx right now, from complicated processes like new starter packs, long term sick absence and expenses claims through to more simple tasks such as anniversary reminders and long service awards. Across the board 56% of all messages are actioned, and for many the response rate has been 100%.

To quote one senior employee, esparx is as an “absolute masterstroke” and “a work of genius”.
