CO2 and supply chains

Uncategorized

I’ve treated myself to a new Apple iWatch, and am following the package on the UPS tracking app. Made in Chongqing China, to Germany via Hong Kong, and expected here tomorrow. It’s probably been on three ‘planes already, and maybe in the air again now. Could you devise a more CO2 intensive supply chain?

And why Hong Kong? As far as I can see it had to travel 1,000km in the wrong direction to get there?
