Stupidly, I managed to step out in front of a VW ID3 yesterday. And when I jumped back on the pavement, I noticed the car coming the other way was also an ID3. In the next five minutes or so, I counted 8 EVs driving around Milton Keynes.

It got me thinking… so I’ve gone back over our posts and can see that our estimate is that there are now 525 thousand EVs on British roads. The graph below shows how this has increased from the start of the year (where there were around 400 thousand).

Massive tax subsidies make EV’s a must for employers and employees who need a car. This is one of a number of factors driving EV sales in the UK. Clearly supply chain issues are acting as a brake on registrations, but overall I think the impact is clearly now being felt on our roads. In my case, almost literally!
