I’m told that 1 in 5 cars in Norway is an EV. I’ve just come back from there and must say that feels about right. If you love EVs this is a great place to go car spotting. We’ve seen just about every model, including a Mercedes EQS taxi, and also a fair number of PHEVs.
Our Norwegian odyssey took us as far north as Alta, which is a stunning place to visit. It was -20°C and the snow was amazing. Impressive to watch the Norwegians clear their roads of feet of snow literally the same day the M25 was apparently closed by a couple of inches…
What are the other 80% of cars in Norway? In the snow it looked like huge great SUVs with massive tyres. Monsters. European and some Americans. I guess when it’s -20°C you absolutely want to get home?
And snow ploughs. They really have a lot of snow ploughs…
